Hamburger Corn Pone Pie
|1||lb. Ground Beef|
|⅓||cup chopped Onion|
|2||tsp. Chili Powder|
|1||tsp. Worcestershire Sauce|
|1||cup Canned Tomatoes|
|1||cup drained canned Kidney Beans|
|1||cup Corn-Bread Batter (1/2 pkg. corn-bread mix)|
Brown meat and chopped onion in melted shortening.
Add seasonings and tomatoes. Cover and simmer over low heat for 15 mins.
Add kidney beans. Pour meat mixture into a greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole.
Top with corn-bread batter, spreading carefully with a wet knife. Bake in a 425 oven for 20 minutes.
