This is Aunt Ruths recipe for Matzo Stuffing.
|½||cup chopped celery|
|½||cup chopped onion|
|3||cup matzo farfel or 3 matzo broken|
|½||cup water or chicken broth|
|1||tablespoon minced parsley|
Melt the fat in a frying pan until it bubbles. Add celery and onion and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes. Mix the farfel and water or broth and add it with the salt and pepper to the vegetables. Cook, stiring for a few minutes. Remove from heat, Stir in egg and minced parsley.
Cool before using to stuff a 5 pound chicken.
