4 Pork Chops

This is Aunt Ruths recipe for Porch Chop Shanghai. This is a tasty main course that is very easy to prepare.


4 pork chops
3 tablespoon of soy sauce
½ cup of onions
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of oil


Mix the soy sauce and sugar with ½ cup of water.

Put the oil in a skillet and heat/brown the chops on both side. Remove the chops from the skillet. Stir the onions into the skillet and cook them until the edges are brown. Return the chops to the skillet with the onions. Then pour the soy sauce/sugar mixture over the chops and cook slowly for at least 30 minutes. Turn the chops to color them evenly.
